Wellington Christian Church
Lexinton, KY When Wellington Christian Church contacted us for this project, their sound engineer had already mapped out a plan for this multipurpose room. Through several meetings we discovered more efficient ways of designing and installing the sound, light and video systems.
The main speaker cluster consists of three Mackie Industrial PA151 speaker cabinets, augmented by two EAW SB181p subwoofers for low end kick. We used the Mackie DX810 signal processor to route all the signals and control the dynamics for the mains and the stage monitors.
The lighting system consists of 26 ETC Par EA light fixtures to provide stage lighting, and one ETC Source IV ellipsoidal fixture to provide light for the baptismal area. The lights are controlled from the sound booth by a Lightronics digital light board, which also controls house lighting, giving the operator complete control over the lighting system during worship services. In efforts to protect the lighting system, the church decided to create a wall on the ceiling to protect the light fixtures from being damaged during sporting events.
