Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church
Verailles, KY When Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church approached Pro Sound and Lights about providing sound lights and video for their new church building, one of their main concerns was getting a system that would easily handle their blended worship services, as well as a more contemporary worship style.
EAW AS series loudspeakers were used for the main cluster for their musical sound quality and excellent pattern control. An EAW UB42 "Flying Wedge" was implemented below the main cluster as a downfill, allowing the upper loudspeakers to be focused towards the middle of the room. By using this cluster, the church was able to have a full four-way main cluster that provided consistent sound in every seat of the house. Another concern was keeping the stage volume down in the praise band area. To avoid excessive monitor levels, a separate monitor mixer was incorporated for the band to use, freeing up sends on the main mixer for choir monitors and effects sends. This setup allowed the church to achieve a total of eight monitor mixes for the musicians and clergy.

Two projection screens were needed to accommodate the size of the room and the extreme viewing angle from some of the seating areas. To achieve the size and brightness needed, 4700 lumen Mitsubishi projectors were installed from the ceiling. The two video screens retract when not in use. ETC Source IV Light fixtures were chosen for stage lighting. These fixtures can be focused on specific areas of the stage, eliminating a great deal of spill-over into the congregation seating.
