Pro Sound and the Environment
Pro Sound, Inc. recognizes that our business has a direct effect on the environment, both locally and globally. We are committed to decreasing any harmful effects by using products in a way that is socially responsible with an eye towards future sustainability.
With an interest in waste reduction, we buy reusable, refillable and/or recyclable products for our office. All boxes are either reused for outbound shipments, or taken to the local recycling facility.
We use eco-friendly cleaning products and conserve water and energy by utilizing a small sized water heater and insulating all HVAC ductwork.
As an environmental steward, it is our policy to Reuse: Repurpose: Reduce: and Recycle.
- Recycling: From cardboard shipping boxes and excess office paper to scrap wire and metal, we do our best to recycle as many items as we can.
- RoHS Compliance: With the RoHS directive gaining popularity, many of the products we carry meet these standards, therefore reducing the levels of toxic chemicals used in the production and manufacturing of electronic devices. This is especially important when electronics are discarded at the end of their life cycle. Click here for more information on the RoHS directive.
- Product Choice: We do our best to recommend products to our customers that require the least amount of energy to operate. This would include energy efficient power amplifiers, and highly efficient LED light fixtures, consuming far less electricity than conventional light fixtures.
